Acertas LLC is in need of individuals to work the following positions in Claremont, CA & varied unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Senior Financial Quantitative Analyst (full-time; multiple positions available) needed to work in Claremont, California, and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to maintain and update current corporate business analytics and financial tools, databases, dashboards, systems, and methods to make business decisions.
Assist in the creation of corporate analytic and financial tools and systems, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, data and quantitative models. Collaborate with product development teams to research, model, validate, or implement quantitative solutions for new or expanded markets to ensure compliance with user requirements, specifications, or scope. Provide application and analytical support to management and clients. Generate standard and custom reports summarizing business data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Must have a Masters Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Mathematics, Financial Engineering or related field, plus five (5) years of experience as a Senior Financial Quantitative Analyst, Financial Qualitative Analyst, Quantitative Analyst, or related positions.
The five (5) years of experience must include experience with the following: Python; R; Electron; MEAN stack platforms (e.g., MongoDB, Express.js, AngularJS, and Node.js); solving business engineering problems using quantitative and qualitative approaches; developing and deploying business analytics and financial engineering platforms as well as work with user interface design, user experience and interactions. The five (5) years of experience must also include experience developing, maintaining, and collecting structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting. All experience may be acquired concurrently.
Travel required to various and unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. 10% of the time. Employer to reimburse for all travel costs. Telecommuting permitted. EOE M/F/D/V.

Senior Data Scientist (full-time; multiple positions available) needed to work in Claremont, CA and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to maintain and update corporate business decision making software, databases, dashboards, and methods. Assist in conducting research and developing solutions for business challenges by formulating mathematical, software and information science solutions. Analyze data to identify trends or relationships among variables.
Direct daily operations of data and software team, with agile development methods and coordinating project activities with management. Develop team performance standards and evaluate work in light of established standards to achieve business goals. Evaluate project designs and collaborate with management to determine design specifications, details, and successful project completion goals.
Must have a Masters Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field, plus five (5) years of it experience. The five (5) years of IT experience must include experience with the following: Python, PySpark and associated standard libraries and across MEAN stack platforms (ex: MongoDB, Express.js, AngularJS, or Node.js); data base management software, user interface and user experience development methodologies, cloud-based ecosystems (ex: AWS, Azure or equivalent) and local server IT infrastructures experience. The five (5) years of IT experience must also include experience with software platforms with quantitative and qualitative approaches and experience building agile software solutions.
The Senior Data Scientist – U.S. position will supervise five (5) employees. The job titles of the five (5) employees supervised will vary between Analyst (1), Data Scientist (1), Application Developer (1), and Software Programmer (2). All experience may be acquired concurrently.
